About

Kiwa Digital Group

Our History

Kiwa Digital was founded in 2003 by award-winning film and television producer Rhonda Kite (Te Aupōuri, Ngai Tākoto, Ngāti Kuri).

Initially established as a post-production software company, our first product, VoiceQ™, automatically dubs foreign-language dialogue in television and film production.

When the iPhone launched, Rhonda pioneered a text-to-voice user experience for children’s apps, specialising in te reo Māori and inclusive needs.

Over a decade, our business and technology evolved towards a stronger focus on building cultural literacy in adults. Our unique cultural perspective and advanced technologies mean we do more than build apps – we’re here to uplift and empower Indigenous voices, people and cultures around the world.

We use technology to help bridge cultural divides, build understanding, and preserve and amplify indigenous stories, culture and language world-wide.
