Ashburton District is one of New Zealand's fastest growing rural districts. We are delighted to bring you some basic knowledge to help you connect with people from different cultures in the Ashburton District.

We aim to share understanding and common sayings and expressions of our new kiwis to ensure they experience a welcoming community and inclusive workplaces. Tūwhana includes customs and culture, language, pronunciation, common greetings, proverbs, celebrations, songs and community information.
