Toitoi is an interactive app that showcases stories, poems and art about the vibrant cultures of Latin America produced by young New Zealanders.

Toitoi showcases the stories, poems and art of Latin America through the eyes of young New Zealanders.

The App features interactive text and audio features that allows readers to listen to the stories and poems in translation, tap to hear individual words and spellings and even record their own narration. All the written pieces have been translated into languages of the region, creating a multilingual app in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

The App is produced by The Latin America Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence at the Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand (Latin America CAPE). With a population of almost 650 million from a variety of ancestries, ethnic groups, and races, the Latin America region is one of the most diverse in the world. The Centre recognises common interests and is committed to bringing New Zealand closer to Latin America.
