Getting lost in the forest wilderness, he meets a Patupaiarehe, who flies with him to Haida Nation in Canada where he befriends Gwaii. Together they track down the mystical Raven to help get Eru back home. During their journey, they encounter many creatures from the rich mythology of Canada and New Zealand.
